project architect: build casa | concept design

Developed while at BuildCasa, this concept explores a series of townhouses designed for implementation across subdivided lots throughout California under SB9 legislation. Patricia led the design of adaptable housing prototypes that respond to varying site conditions while maintaining a cohesive architectural language.

The proposal introduces a system of one- and two-unit stacked houses that balance density with livability. Each configuration is carefully composed to maximize light, privacy, and spatial clarity within a compact footprint. Outdoor spaces are integrated as extensions of the home, creating a seamless relationship between interior and exterior living.

Materially restrained yet refined, the design aims to offer a sense of quiet luxury while remaining accessible.

By pairing thoughtful planning with repeatable construction logic, the project positions itself as a flexible model for gentle urban infill, one that supports both individuality and a broader housing need.
