Diyaar is rooted in friendship, trust, and the meeting of diverse cultures and perspectives. We believe design can elevate everyday moments, inspire, and create a sense of belonging.
With a focus on craft, material honesty, and thoughtful detail, we approach each project with care and curiosity; designing spaces that are beautiful, grounded, and responsive to context and people.

Our work balances light and shadow, stillness and movement, the natural and the built, creating quiet, intentional backdrops to life. We bring this approach to residential, commercial, and cultural projects, tailoring each solution to the unique needs of the client and site.

PATRICIA SAMARTZIS | co-founder

Patricia is a designer guided by a quiet sense of balance and curiosity about how spaces are felt over time. Informed by her Greek heritage, she is drawn to proportion, clarity, and material honesty, shaping an architecture rooted in everyday life.

She earned her Master of Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she received the Marthame Sanders Award as the top designer in her class.

Her work spans residential, public, and commercial projects, from objects to buildings, with experience at BLDGS, WRNS Studio, and Aidlin Darling Design.

KIMIA PAKFAR, RA | co-founder

Kimia brings over 15 years of experience across a wide range of project types, from institutional and commercial work to residential design and installations.

Rooted in her Middle Eastern heritage, she creates spaces beyond function, bringing poetry, context, and emotional resonance.

She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Tehran and a Master of Architecture and Master of Science in Architecture from the University of Arizona. Kimia is a licensed architect in California and has worked at Aidlin Darling Design, WRNS Studio, Perkins Eastman, Next Office, and VAV Studio.

We work across architecture, interior design, renovation, and bespoke furniture, shaping projects from first idea to life on site. Our role spans planning, technical design, and construction support, allowing each element to be considered as part of a whole. Through this continuity, we ensure spaces are realised with clarity, care, and quiet intention.
